Closing settings after installation crash on PyCharm/CLion

When closing the settings dialog window (either by clicking "OK", "Cancel" or using the cross) right after installing the plugin on PyCharm and CLion, the IDE freezes. This bug was noticed on Ubuntu 22.04 after several install/uninstall of the plugin on different versions for testing purpose.
